However you feel about the new year, it’s always a good time to do something for yourself to make you feel good mentally. And instead of putting a million unreachable New Years Resolutionswhy not try something you can get started with right away?
In case you haven’t heard of it Yoga with Adriene, this could be the YouTube channel that will finally make you understand why so many people are raving about yoga. Adriene Mischler has been creating free yoga videos for a decade. Her goal is to help you “find what feels good” while making a commitment to it Mental health and having fun with exercise, getting fit and healthy at the same time.
Every year she creates a 30-day yoga challenge that is completely free and meant to encourage daily exercise. Each yoga practice generally lasts about 20-30 minutes combined yin and yang yoga to create sessions that will increase your heart rate and also help you to relax.
This year the 30-day program is called Center: A 30-Day Yoga Journey. “It’s a program that we offer to the community and people worldwide to connect with themselves in new ways,” says Mishler in her video Presentation of the program.
“The idea behind these practices is that through daily centering we are able to create a healthier and more harmonious connection between the brain, body and spirit,” she continues.
Based in Austin, Texas, Mishler is known (and loved) for her down-to-earth teaching style that helps you get to know yourself better in the least terrifying way.
“This was designed to support your body, but also this whole body mental health idea,” Mishler says, adding that it’s suitable for yogis of all levels.
“This program in particular is like a tradition – it can be an incredible way to start the year and an incredible thing to come back to maybe another month during the year so you can see how you’re progressing and how things have changed,” says Mischler in the video.
So if you want to start the year by prioritizing yourself and your mental and physical health, maybe you should Sign up for the 30-day Yoga With Adriene challenge.
